These random things caught my eye this past week and got me thinking about…
Small Hexagon Tiles on Walls
Move over subway tile, hexagon is the new darling of the tile world.

In sizes both big and small, hexagon tile is making a grand appearance (or retro return) in a bathroom near you – and not where you’d expect to see it. We’re used to seeing this tile on floors, especially in older homes or buildings, and often laid in beautifully intricate patterns using a variety of bold colors. Case in point:

But I’m also starting to see these little baby hexagons (aw, aren’t they adorable?) incorporated into shower walls and vanity back splashes. Its a fresh take on a classic look. The millennial generation’s tile perhaps? Such free thinkers they are. Either way, I’m diggin’ it.

The Pink Sofa
I can’t say a pink sofa is something I would personally place in my home. However, this image did a great job of capturing my attention on Pinterest and had me quickly entering “pink sofa” in the search bar to serve my curiosity.

Then I got a little sucked into my search (for like an hour…who knew there were so many pink sofas)?! It’s hard to ignore how amazingly fun these sofas are though. I mean, can you think of anything more girly and glamorous when it comes to decor than a pink sofa (okay, well maybe a glitter sofa – but who would want all that glitter on their dairy aire anyway)?

While a pink sofa might not be for everyone (or maybe anyone?!?), if I ever come across a project that calls for one, these photos will totally be my muse.

A Palms Springs Escape
Vacation envy. It’s something that’s been plaguing my mind (and my dreams) lately – and the Korakia Pensione is most definitely contributing to this serious ailment.
Since it’s pushing 90+ degrees here this week, it’s not like a desert vacation is on the top of the destination wish list right now- but something about this sweet little Palm Springs oasis captured my attention on Instagram.
I’m not really even sure how I came across this beauty in the first place, but it was likely via the amazing feeds of some of the bloggers I follow (it seriously seems like everyone and there brother is staying at this place). All I know is that I was immediately wrapped into endlessly scrolling through their feed and envisioning how I could get myself there as quickly as possible.
I was seriously contemplating booking a relaxing retreat vacation for myself (no lie), when I come to find out this little gem is actually the ultimate romantic getaway. Forbes Traveler named it it one of the “Sexiest Hotels in America,” and Travel and Leisure Magazine named their Mediterranean pool “One of the Sexiest pools in the World.” Well, okay then! Guess I’ll invite the husband too.
Hope you enjoyed these “things” as much as I did! Happy Thursday, friends – make it a great one!
