I love the feeling that bright, neutral spaces bring about. Open, airy, relaxed, and kind of freeing, really. Mix in some mid-century furnishings and modern geometric accents to create an eclectic vibe, and I’m there. This home fits the bill to a tee. Designed by one of my favorites to follow, Becki Owens – the spaces in this home offer a relaxed atmosphere while not giving up on great style. She used the wonderful natural light in this home to its advantage, and complemented it with neutral and warm toned furnishings throughout. Light woods carried throughout the dining and living areas bring warmth to the space, providing a relaxed setting. The use of contrasting gold fixtures with geometric lines, and metallic modern accents stand out against all the neutral tones, adding touches of interest and elegance to the space. Patterns and colors placed in small areas, such as the wallpaper off the kitchen nook or the colorful art and pillows in the playroom add a fun vibe to the space while keeping the design in-line with the rest of the home. This home feels stylish, comfortable, and livable – and that is the best feeling.
